The treatment of international patients has a long tradition – our international office has more than ten years of experience with patients from all over the world.

Private Facility for International Patients

International patients of Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht are accommodated in the brand-new private department “Oasis” which was inaugurated in 2020. The 28 elegant suites in the “Oasis” are intended to comply in all maters with the individual needs of our international patients ensuring our ultimate comfort. The department has its own therapy facilities, including high-tech robotic devices. Our highly qualified physicians, therapist and nurses are available for you round the clock. We are aware of cultural and religious preferences and religious preferences and take care accordingly. Further, our international office ensures the proper handling of administrative processes (incl. assistance with visa applications) and provides support before, during and after your medical treatment.

Location and Transportation…

The clinic is located in the Eastern part of Switzerland, a 50-minutes’ drive from Zurich airport. Private and business jets may use the nearby airport “Sankt Gallen – Altenrhein” a 30 minutes’ drive from the clinic. We are happy to organize transportation from the airport to the clinic by car or helicopter.

Trips to nearby cities can be organized during your therapy at our clinic.  Zurich can be reached within 1hour and Sank Gallen within 20 minutes.

Our clinic is well-known for the integration of advanced technologies in the therapeutic daily life with the largest range of computer- and robot-assisted therapy devices throughout Europe (Lokomat, Erigo, DDrobotec System Elite, Armeo Spring / Power, Ekso Bionics etc.).

After your arrival, a senior physician will develop an individualized therapy plan tailored to your personal needs and desires. In the following, you receive your daily individualized therapy plan (Monday to Friday). Our rehabilitation specialist will evaluate your therapy plan weekly and adapt as required. Multiple Sclerosis

The Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht specializes in the treatment of brain and nerve injured patients. For more than 25 years, the clinic and its employees have been focusing exclusively on the treatment of neurological disorders. An interdisciplinary team of experienced specialist supports our patients over the entire time of our rehabilitation. Since many years, our staff is highly specialized in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis and our therapy schedules are customized to your needs and wishes. 

Include in our Multiple Sclerosis treatment program the patients receive up to 6 individually designed therapy sessions daily to achieve our rehabilitation goals (30 to 45 minutes per sessions). The therapy programs are tailored to the patient and planned together with the patients and our relatives.

Stroke Recovery

Since 1989 our employees have been focusing on the treatment of brain and nerve injured patients and continue to specialize further in different therapeutic approaches for neurorehabilitation, for example such as dysphagia, spasticity, orthoptics, urology, and robotics. At the Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht, it is the objective for patients with brain and nerve damage to return as soon as possible to our familiar environment by benefiting from an ideal and individual therapeutic program.

Parkinson’s Disease

At the Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht, we have more than 15 years’ experience of running a highly specialized Parkinson’s Center for the rehabilitation of all different types of the Parkinson’s Syndrome. We have highly specialized treatment pathway for the following symptoms: on-off movement disorders, dyskinesia, pain management, unsteady gait, speech and swallowing disorders and anymore. Our doctors, nurses and therapists work exclusively with Parkinson patients and therefore have very specific competencies and experience in the field.

During our Parkinson rehabilitation program the patients receive daily up to 5 individually designed therapy sessions to achieve our rehabilitation goals (30 to 45 minutes per session). The therapy programs are tailored to the patient and planned together with the patient and our relatives.
